Solution(s) I Love: Infinity Sun, KC’s Sun on the Run, South Seas and many others. I am not married to one solution. I mix a lot of my solutions.
Tools of the Trade: No preference
What I Wear: “Dump”….let me explain. I have a cup that I dump solution in if I cannot recycle it and it is labeled “Dump”. I use that. I know it is awful but I always look good.
Best celebrity airbrush tan award goes to: The Kardashians.
I chose to be an airbrush tanner because: I loved Jennifer Aniston’s tans and I also wanted to make people feel good. It is all about service.
If I wasn’t an airbrush tanner I would be: Back in the oilfield as a Buyer or Purchasing Agent.
My most embarrassing moment as a business owner: When I first started in 2010, I was at a client’s house and she had stairs. My Infinity Sun Spa Lite is about 50 lbs. I tried to look cute and have heels on. I slipped and fell and so did my equipment down the stairs. I got up though and still sprayed her! lol!
Favorite social media outlet: Facebook
The one thing I could not live without for my biz: My clients. I stay humble.
The part of owning my own business I am not very good at: Social media
The one thing I wish I knew when I started my business: I wish I would have written a letter to myself to not quit in 2013.
Where I plan to be in five years: Spraying and making everyone glow.
Business owners who inspire me: Shonna Dexter, Fabiola Trujillo, Taryn Luquin, Michelle Walters, Kelly Callaghan, Anne Marie DeSalvo…Can you tell I listen to the Happy Tans podcast? Many other women in the ASTP. It is a long list.
Quote I love: “No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, and show up”
When I’m not working, I love to: cuddle with my 5-month-old son, 7-year-old daughter, 17-year-old
daughter and husband. I love being with my family and friends.
My favorite thing about owning my own business: I can make my own schedule.
The thing I dislike most about owning my own business: Cleaning all the time
My friends would say I am: Generous, Funny, Perfectionist, Down to Earth and Positive
If I could share some wisdom with someone just getting started in this biz it would be: Trust in yourself. Faith will open all kinds of exciting doors.
Any parting words? Know your worth and schedule time off for yourself weekly.
